Michigan showed off the most gorgeous spring weekend, with temperatures in the 70s and full sun for days and days! It was lovely. Our forsythia are in bloom, my willow tree is budding...and this morning's rain is making everything look so healthy.
Does anyone else like grape hyacinths better than big ones?

Dan's co-worker and now a good friend of mine as well, Nancy, threw me a Super Suppers baby shower on Saturday. Guests cooked me a couple of meals each - it was absolutely wonderful! My freezer is packed with delicious things like tilapia with dill sauce and rice, Italian sausage and white bean casserole, and vegetarian lasagna. Thank you so much, friends and family!
As if 19 dinners weren't enough, there was cake...
one of Dan's friends/co-workers, Christina, and my sis Michelle
my dear mom-in-law
two of my sisters-in-laws, Amy (Dan's sister, the one who looks more like Adele's mother than I do) and Jennifer. Amy snuck into town for a week and surprised everyone else in the family.

Oh, the pictures of the shower just give me happiness. For you and Dan and the sweet family you're building, surrounded by such loving, caring family members and friends. May God continue to heap more and more blessings upon you, my dearest!!!
(Can the willow tree stay???)
What a great idea for a baby shower!
That is such a fabulous idea! The cake looks yum-o. When are we going to see pictures of you and Baby #2?
